For more than a decade, I’ve been an entrepreneur in the HR SaaS industry. During this time, I have witnessed the industry's transformation from the era of traditional PC internet to mobile-first platforms. I had the opportunity to serve thousands of large enterprises—including many Fortune 500 companies—across sectors such as aviation, theme parks, pharmaceuticals, luxury goods, and FMCG. Clients include Airbus, Disney, Mars, Novartis, Richemont, and more.

As technology continues to evolve, one question remains at the heart of it all: can we truly improve the way talent and opportunity connect?

From Web 2.0 to AI Agents: A New Era for Career Matching

While working with enterprise clients over the long term, I have also spent time reflecting on the experiences of job seekers. Over the years, platforms like Indeed have improved access to job postings through aggregation, and China’s Boss Zhipin introduced direct communication between candidates and hiring managers through chat. These products have introduced innovations and improved recruitment efficiency to some extent, but they still fail to fully address the core issue of "effectiveness"—job seekers are still caught in the loop of mass applications with little feedback—a model stuck in the Web 2.0 paradigm, where candidates search by keyword, apply, and then wait indefinitely.

Since AlphaGo, AI has become a widely discussed topic. But it was the launch of ChatGPT in November 2022 that truly changed how we interact with technology. Large Language Models (LLMs) have made communicating with AI more natural and accessible, marking the transition from the mobile internet to the era of AI agents.

Over the past decade of serving various enterprises, I’ve been asked many times: beyond digitalizing processes and workflows to boost efficiency, is there a way to fundamentally improve recruitment matching outcomes and the quality of candidate-role fit?

My team and I have explored different approaches and various tools—from automated hiring flows to AI-powered interview assessments—but these solutions have largely been enterprise-driven and focused on isolated touchpoints.

Deep down, I have always believed that a different kind of product is needed: one that helps people, not just companies. After all, society moves forward when the right people are in the right roles.

An Career Agent Built for the Future

On the Spring Equinox this year, our team gathered to imagine a new kind of product—a human-centered career agent designed to connect job seekers and employers globally through the power of AI. By integrating our technical expertise with learnings from the past decade, we’re launching Sprounix, an AI career agent.

Sprounix is designed to walk alongside job seekers, helping them navigate challenges and discover roles that truly fit. It delivers intelligent, personalized job matching and presents candidates to employers with stronger, more compelling profiles. Over time, it will also evolve to offer holistic career guidance.

The name Sprounix holds two meanings. It marks our decision to start this journey on the Spring Equinox, a time of balance and renewal; and it reflects our hope: that every career it touches will sprout with new energy—like green shoots in spring.

🌱 Sprout your new career.
